Michael Kopytko

September 23, 1950 — April 30, 2025

Michael John Kopytko passed away peacefully at his home in Berlin, New Jersey, on April 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife.

Beloved husband to Marcia, cherished father to Joshua (Melissa), Jonathan (Liz), and Jessica, and proud grandfather to Steven, Olivia, Remi, Landon, and Noah, Mike's legacy is deeply rooted in the family he adored. He was also a caring brother-in-law to Phyliss Kopytko, and his quiet strength and devotion touched all who knew him.

Born on September 23, 1950, Mike lived a life guided by faith, integrity, and unconditional love. He earned his Master's degree in Business and dedicated many years of his professional life to public service with the IRS, retiring as an Appeals Agent in 2010. Known for his calm presence and sharp mind, Mike was a respected colleague - but it was his role as a husband, father, and grandfather that brought him the most pride and joy.

Mike found happiness in the simple things - family camping trips, crabbing adventures, annual family vacations by the shore, time on beaches and the countless hours spent cheering on his children from the sidelines of soccer fields and gymnastics meets. He was their biggest fan, always supporting and celebrating their accomplishments. In later years, he extended that same love to the family's cherished pets, embracing them as part of the family.

Mike's presence, his dry wit and tendency for telling it like he saw it, will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. His life was a testament to steady devotion, quiet strength, and unwavering love.
