Yadatore S. Chandrashekhar was born on January 20, 1937, in Mysore, India, and passed peacefully on October 10, 2025.
Chandu, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many others whose lives were touched by him.
Chandrashekhar is survived by his loving wife, Usha; his son, Ravi, and his wife, Sumathi; his daughter, Manasa, and her husband, Srihari; and his grandsons, Nikhil, Tajus, and Akash. He also leaves behind his beloved brother and sisters, numerous other relatives, and many dear friends.
Chandrashekhar was a civil engineer who, among other things, helped build bridges and highways during his career. He was a proud and devout Hindu who also loved his Indian culture.
Outside of his faith, he was a passionate gardener with a green thumb, often growing enormous vegetables. He enjoyed taking walks and was an avid sports fan.
Those who knew Chandrashekhar will remember him for his adventurous spirit, warm smile, and gentle, generous nature.
