Wilson served honorably in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958. After his career in the Army, Wilson worked in the ship yard as a welder on the construction of the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. An accomplishment he was very proud of. You rarely saw him without his Kitty Hawk hat on. He then went on to his career as a skilled glass welder at O-I/SCHOTT in Vineland, NJ, until its closure. He later continued his hardworking career at Woodworkers Warehouse and Sears.
Wilson was an active member of the Louden Fire Department, where he served for many years as Fire Chief. At the time of his passing, he held the distinction of being the department's oldest living member.
Wilson was a talented woodworker who found joy in crafting and creating with his hands. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren - they were his greatest pride and joy.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Adele L Goodall (née Bender), his children, Randy Goodall and Tracy Soistmann (Shawn MacDonald), grandchildren, Jessica Serra (Peter) and Stephanie Sebastian (Stephen), great-grandchildren, Brianna (Ambyr), Anthony, Phoenix, Lily, Cooper, and Roman, and great-great-grandchild, Michael.
