William "Bill" A. Rohloff

Heaven grew a little louder with laughter and a lot livelier with the passing of William "Bill" A. Rohloff on July 9, 2026.

Born on Flag Day, June 14, 1939, in Camden, New Jersey, Bill's life reflected the patriotic spirit of the day on which he was born. He possessed a deep love for his country and a profound respect for those who served in the military. His infectious laugh, quick wit, and endless sense of humor brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Bill was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Edna, a loving father to Andrew, Michael, and Frances, and a loyal friend to many. He lived a life defined by laughter, resilience, dedication, and just the right amount of mischief. Whether sharing a joke, telling a story, or lending a helping hand, Bill left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

An avid outdoorsman, Bill found great happiness fishing, camping, and exploring nature. Rarely did he enjoy these adventures alone. He often brought along his children, their friends, and extended family members, creating lifelong memories for countless people. Whether teaching a child how to cast a fishing line or leading a camping trip filled with a dozen excited kids, Bill believed that some of life's greatest lessons were learned around a campfire, on the water, and in the company of loved ones.

Bill especially loved the mountains and treasured time spent at deer camp with his longtime friend Bob Fanz and his beloved dogs, Yorkie, Fifi, and Fawn. He often reminded everyone that, "Anything that happened at deer camp stayed at deer camp."

Those who knew Bill knew he was truly the life of the party. He always had a great joke, a memorable story, or a reason to celebrate. He loved to dance and was famous for performing the Twist, dropping all the way to the ground with one leg stretched out. If one dance partner couldn't keep up, he would happily move on to the next willing participant and keep dancing until the early hours of the morning.

Bill graduated from Edgewood High School and dedicated many years of service to Sony Music, where he earned a reputation for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence. He proudly served in the United States Army, instilling in his family a deep sense of patriotism, honor, and respect for service.

His commitment to his community was equally important to him. Bill was a lifelong member of the Atco Volunteer Fire Department and a Life Member of American Legion Post 311 in Atco, New Jersey.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Edna Rohloff; his sons, Andrew Rohloff (Susan) of Cedar Brook, New Jersey, and Michael Rohloff of Sicklerville, New Jersey; his daughter, Frances Rohloff-Murdock (Fred) of Atco, New Jersey; and his cherished grandchildren, William Murdock and Rebecca Rohloff.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and remembered for his kindness, generosity, humor, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the stories that will continue to be told, and the memories that will forever be treasured.

A service honoring Bill's life will be held privately. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the Rohloff family home, 427 West Atlantic Avenue, Atco, New Jersey 08004, at 2:00 p.m. July 24th to celebrate his remarkable life, share memories, raise a shot of Jim Beam in his honor, and remember the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

The Rohloff family extends their sincere gratitude for the love, prayers, and support received during this difficult time.
