William More’

July 24, 1935 — June 6, 2026

William More', of Woodbury, NJ, a beloved father, friend, and community member, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 24, 1935, in Camden, NJ, to the late Paolo and Maria Michela (Ferrara), he was the eighth child of thirteen children.

Known for his infectious laughter, jokes and quick wit, Bill had a remarkable ability to light up any room he entered. He shared his joy for life through his love of ballroom dancing, often captivating others with his graceful moves and inviting everyone to join in the fun. His spirit shone brightly not only in social gatherings but also in his dedication to helping others.

Bill dedicated a significant part of his career to Information technology as a computer programmer for UNISYS, and a micro-chip engineer at Avent Electronics, but his heart was equally devoted to community service. He enjoyed a fulfilling chapter of his life as a bus driver for Haddon Township schools, where he forged lasting connections with students and families. Even in retirement, he continued to lend his hands and heart to various causes, volunteering at Inspira/Underwood Hospital and offering handyman services through Heart House in Haddon Heights and for countless family and friends. Bill could build a house from scratch, and all of this talent was self-taught. For Bill, helping others was not just a calling; it was a way of life.

He proudly served as the Vice President of the Delaware Valley Tinnitus Association from 1986 to 1989, advocating for those in need and further demonstrating his commitment to making a difference.

Bill's poetic spirit found joy in expressing his thoughts and feelings through written words. His poems touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to read them, leaving a lasting impact on family and friends.

Another hobby of Bill's was boating, he loved being out on the open water on boat #1, the "MOR-RAE" and after becoming a proud Pop-pop he named boat #2 after all the initials of his grandchildren, "B JAZ E". Weekends on the Delaware River and Chesapeake Bay were a big part of his life which he shared this joy with many family and friends!

In celebrating the life of William More', let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the countless lives he touched. May his memory inspire us to continue his legacy of compassion and service to others.
