Virginia "Ginny" Abbamondi

Virginia Abbamondi, lovingly known as "Ginny" age 93 of Mays Landing, NJ passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to Pasquale Ciarrocchi and Grace (Boucara) Ciarrocchi. She was the youngest of 9 children, of whom all pre-deceased her. She lived with her family on working farm in Cherry Hill for many years.

Ginny is survived by her six children, Al Abbamondi, Ken Abbamondi (Kaye), Kathy Berks (Bill), Patricia McCann, Gina Abbamondi, and Gary Abbamondi (Barbara Ann). She was a proud and loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, Charles Albert Abbamondi, Jr.; her son, Michael Abbamondi; and her son-in-law, Paul McCann.

Ginny was extremely talented and enjoyed many artistic pursuits including drawing, knitting, crocheting, and making clothing and jewelry. She especially loved making handmade stuffed animals for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ginny worked for many years in the medical field and at the age of 50 she went back to school for her RN and worked at Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill, where she dedicated herself to caring for others.

Above all, Ginny was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She will be remembered for her creativity, kindness, and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the Celebration of the Life and Resurrection of Virginia "Ginny" Abbamondi on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, followed by a service at 7:00 PM at the Atco United Presbyterian Church, 2259 Atco Ave, Atco, NJ 08004.

Ginny will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and son at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton in a private ceremony held by her family.
