Thomas B Wujick Sr.

Nov 10, 1938 — Jul 22, 2026

Thomas B. Wujick, Sr. 87, of Barrington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife, Barbara, his daughter, his son, and his granddaughter.

Born on November 10, 1938, in Upland, Pennsylvania, Tom proudly served in the United States Navy. During his years in the service, he developed a lifelong love of travel and the sea. He married Barbara Anne Surynt in 1961, and together they shared 65 years of marriage. Throughout their lives together, Tom and Barbara traveled extensively, creating many memories and sharing a love of adventure that remained with them throughout their marriage.

Tom was a hardworking man who dedicated many years to Owens Corning Fiberglas in Barrington before the plant closed. He later worked for a cabinet maker, where he found great enjoyment in his craft and in the friendships he formed with his coworkers. He retired at the age of 70.

Tom enjoyed working with his hands, whether building, repairing, fishing, or painting. His artistic side was reflected in the murals he painted on the walls of the family homes, and he continued to paint throughout the years whenever inspiration struck.

Those who knew Tom knew he had a salty personality, a quick wit, and a sarcastic sense of humor. He was never afraid to speak his mind and was, by many accounts, quite a character. His unique personality, humor, and stories left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Anne Wujick; his children, Audrey Thompson, Deborah Chandler, Paula Wujick, and Thomas Wujick Jr.; his grandchildren; his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Evans, Frank Wujick, and Joseph Wujick; and his extended family and friends.

He will be remembered for his years of hard work, his creativity, his love of travel and the sea, his sharp wit, and the memories he leaves with those who knew him.

The family has made private arrangements.
