It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Steven J. Johnson, who passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at the age of 30. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Julianna Wintling, cherished pets, Logan and Xavier, parents, Desiree and Chris Sawicki, siblings, Alisa Johnson, Alexxis Sawicki, David Baldi, Mansur Sadd, Nicholas Francesco, Zachary Bettis, Michael Morman and Caleb Grey, nephews, Hayden Baldi, Bryson Savage, Vincent Fiore and Neiko Rosa as well as his grandparents, Rose and Richard Liwock, Edith Johnson, and Nancy Sawicki. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Johnson, Jr.
Steven was a proud United States Army veteran, that served in the 101st 3-320th Airborne Rakkasan Battalion and loved to volunteer to help other veterans in his spare time. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local Union 351. Steven was a selfless friend, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. He had an infectious personality and would make everyone laugh at the things he would say.
A passionate 49er's fan, he was also an enthusiast of car racing and a skilled marksman who enjoyed shooting at Range 129, a place where everyone was considered family to him. Family and friends will always remember his love of Halloween and 4th of July celebrations.
Steven will be remembered and missed for years to come.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, 08004 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with an additional visiting hour on Friday, August 29th, 2025, at the funeral home from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Eulogies to begin at 10:00 am. Interment with military honors to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Steven's memory can be made to the New Jersey Disabled American Veteran Foundation by mailing your donation to NJ DAV Foundation, Inc., 171 Jersey Street, Bldg. 5, Trenton, NJ 08611.
