Srinivas Krishnasami

It is with heavy hearts we share that Srinivas (Jean) Krishnasami passed away on July 9th, 2026.

He was 52 years old. Jean was the most sincere person anyone could hope to meet, taking delight in the little things and sharing his love for life and compassion for everyone around him, his friends and family. He will be remembered for his gentle demeanor and kind personality. Jean was born on June 25th, 1974 in Bangalore, India, and grew up in Trivandrum and Coimbatore India, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Cary, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Geology, obtained his CPA and MBA from Drexel University and remained a lifelong Wolfpack fan. Jean worked in Finance and Accounting for many years. He worked for Fourth Technologies in Finance for over 22 years and as a Director of Finance for multiple non-profits and consulting companies. Jean was an incredible intellect and learner, a walking encyclopedia in History and Science, and always ready to dive deeply into any topic. He was also an avid gamer and a member of multiple gaming clubs.

Jean was a devoted son, brother, and uncle to his immediate and extended family. He is survived by his mother, Lalitha, aunt Padmaja, brother Raj, sister-in-law Chrissy, nephew Neel, niece Mira as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews that will miss him dearly.

Throughout his life, he was a dedicated member of his family. When it came to moving someone across the country, being the best man in a wedding, or attending a school play, he was the first person to show up. He loved spending time with family, and he is particularly remembered for being a significant part of his nieces' and nephews' childhoods, for being Uncle Jean.
