Shawn Patrick Cromer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shawn Patrick Cromer, of Atco, NJ who passed away on March 30, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on May 22, 1959, in Philadelphia, PA, to Jack W. and Pachie F. (nee Patterson) Cromer. Shawn was raised in Somerdale, NJ and loved their many trips to North Carolina visiting his extended family. He lived a life filled with family, laughter and love.

For 14 years, Shawn served as a Recovery Specialist at Sungard, using his talents to navigate the world of technology and disaster recovery for his clients. Beyond work he had a love for cars, often switching them out to experience something new. He found joy in fixing computers for family and friends, a testament to his willingness and his desire to help those he cared about. One of his earlier jobs was pressing albums which contributed to his becoming an avid collector. Shawn found joy in the music that filled his home and heart. He loved sharing his interests and experiences with those around him, leaving a memorable impression on everyone he met.

He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lauren (nee Emenecker) Cromer; two sons, Zachary Cromer and his wife Trisha and Samuel Cromer and his wife Nikki; two brothers, Joey Cromer and Michael Cromer; five grandchildren, Rhiannon Pachie, Scarlett Christine, Aurora La'Rea, Cora May, and Jack Arthur and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
