Ruth Thompson

Ruth Z. Thompson (nee Zimmerman), age 98, of Sicklerville, NJ, passed away on Friday June 12, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Thompson. Loving mother of Gary (Roxann) Thompson and Karen (Jeffrey) Levin. Proud grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 1. Ruth grew up in Audubon, NJ and resided in Sicklerville for the past 71 years. After high school, she worked for Penn Railroad until she married and had children. She later worked as a school bus driver for Winslow Twp. Board of Education for 18 years. Ruth and Clarence enjoyed camping in their Airstream, making many friends over the years. Ruth belonged to Young at Heart, AARP Collingswood Chapter. She loved the Ritz and Grand theaters. She also loved to bake; we will miss your apple crumb pie! Mom, we love you more than you’ll ever know. A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am. Condolences may be shared at www.lpwoosterfuneralhome.com. The funeral home will adhere to the Governor's executive order of allowing 50 individuals in for the visitation. For those who are going to attend, please utilize social distancing and please wear a face covering.
