Roberta J. Pohl, age 85 of Glassboro, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. Nelson and Lucy McLean (née Caldwell).
Roberta dedicated over 20 years of her career as an Emergency Room Technician at Memorial Hospital Burlington County (Virtua Mt. Holly), where she was known for her compassion and dedication to helping others. She was a devoted member of Richwood United Methodist Church and took part in the church's knit and crochet ministry, sharing her talents to bring comfort and joy to others.
In her later years, Roberta volunteered at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center in Voorhees, where she greeted the families of patients and created crocheted ornaments for the lobby tree to mark special occasions-a heartfelt tradition that will be lovingly carried on in her memory. She will be remembered for her kind, sweet soul.
Roberta was predeceased by her first husband, Harold John Garron; her second husband, John V. Pohl; and her brothers, Carl Nelson, Eric Nelson, and Leif Nelson.
She is survived by her children, Valerie Torelli (Robert), Vikki Garron (Susan), Bobbie Deliso (John), and Harold Garron, Jr. (Nancy); grandchildren, Jennifer Wright-Wey and Harold J. Garron III; and great-grandchild, David Wright and her sister Regina Willitts.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Richwood United Methodist Church at 104 Richwood Rd. Richwood NJ. Visitation will begin at 11 AM with a service to follow at 12 PM.
