Robert W. Ottinger

Robert Walter Ottinger, aged 85, of Shamong Township, NJ, passed away Monday February 8th, 2021. He was a beloved husband of Susan (nee Elliott) for 47 years. Robert was born in Philadelphia, PA, earned a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, and worked at RCA, GE, Martin Marietta, then Lockheed Martin until his retirement in 1999. Robert is survived by his wife, Susan; his sister Dr. Kathryn (the late Dr. Robert) Bartol; his children: son Robert Jr., (and his wife, Anjali); daughter Tracy Marcus (and her husband Lee); and James (and his wife Lisa). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren: Jessica Marcus Beck, (and her husband Andrew), Kelly Marcus, Nathan Marcus, Andrew Ottinger, Jack Ottinger, Dylan Ottinger, Casey Ottinger and Sarah Ottinger; and by his 2 great-grandchildren: Liam Beck and Halle Beck. Robert was a world traveler and spent several years on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. Among his many interests, he skied, played chess, ping pong and tennis, fished, golfed (as a member of Medford Lakes Country Club), was a HAM operator, and designed, built and maintained 3 personal websites.
