Rita Marie J. O'Brien

Rita Marie J. O'Brien, age 80, of Bluffton, SC, passed away on July 25, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Rita enjoyed playing tennis and pickleball, and loved spending time outdoors, especially relaxing on her porch. A devoted animal lover, she found joy in the companionship of her cherished pets: Teddy, Jake, and Rusty. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, dining out with friends, and was an avid QVC shopper.

Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband, John M. O'Brien; her son, Timothy P. O'Brien; her sister, Katherine Cooney; and her mother, Rita Perla (née Daly). She is survived by her son, Jack O'Brien and his wife Tina, and her treasured grandchildren, Rylee O'Brien and Camryn O'Brien.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be held privately.
