Richard A. Godin, age 85, passed away on Sunday May 3rd, 2026. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to the late Hector and Mary Godin (nee Anderson). He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Connie Godin (nee Clark), children, Kris Kristie (Alyson Jeanette), and Richard S. Godin (Jamila), grandchildren, Samantha Kristie, Amelia Godin and Nadine Godin as well as his niece, Michelle Vaz. Richard was predeceased by his parents, and by his sister, Majorie E. Vaz.

Richard moved to Medford, NJ in 1968 then later in life to Mystic Island, NJ and finally to Atco, NJ where he resided before he passed.

Richard was a United States Air Force Veteran and served as an airplane mechanic during the Vietnam War. He was a talented carpenter and worked for Union 158 for 60 years. For 50 years, he was a member of the Medford Masonic Lodge 178 and Past Master in 1980.

Being close to the water brought great joy and peace to him and his family. He deeply enjoyed all water sports and activities, including fishing, crabbing, and jet skiing. Richard was the proud owner of a boat or two throughout his life. He also held a few trophies for his roller-skating skills.

Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, in Atco, NJ. Donations in Richard's memory can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, The Alzheimer's Association or to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be shared on his online guest book.
