Richard A. Bergman

Richard A. Bergman, age 69, of Atco, NJ, passed away on July 12, 2025. Born in Fort Huachuca, AZ, he was the beloved son of Sandra (née Becker) Bergman and the late Richard A. Bergman.

Richard worked for many years as a dedicated sheet metal foreman. Known for his adventurous spirit and creative talents, he was an avid fisherman and proudly won the Governor's Cup in 2015. He had a passion for riding his Harley and enjoyed the thrill of motocross. A true artist at heart, Richard expressed himself through oil and acrylic painting and often crafted unique pieces from driftwood. He was also an excellent cook and a master of the grill, always eager to share a delicious meal with loved ones.

He will always be known as the Mayor of Holgate and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his father, Richard H. Bergman, and his brother, Doug Bergman.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Kim Bergman (née Lamson); cherished daughter, Gabbi Bergman; loving mother, Sandra Bergman; and siblings, Cindy Myers (Ron) and Jill Mahle (Chris). He is also survived by his aunt, Sandy Rhen.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be held privately.
