It is with both heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Norma Jean Leap, who left this world peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on September 24, 1954, in Hanover Township, NJ, Norma touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit.
In addition to her impressive career, Norma's zest for life was evident in her many hobbies. Whether it was the thrill of a bingo game, the joy of painting, the love of cooking, or the camaraderie of bowling with friends, she fully embraced every moment. A cherished member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Roebling, NJ, and the Garden State Walk to Emmaus Community, Norma carried her faith and love for community throughout her life, leaving a legacy of love and inspiration.
Norma leaves behind her children, Samuel Peters, Eunice Romines, Matthew (Ashley) Pancoast, and Charlie Colbert; siblings, Marce (Joe) Heald, Kay (David) Cockrell, Rae Beebe, Lester Lamson and Edward Lamson, Jr.; grandchildren, Courtney, Evan, Wendy, Mackenzie, Jalana, Casey, Michael, Milo, Robert, Joseph and Lance; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Sienna and several nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by parents, Edward C. Lamson, Sr. and Eunice (nee Yarter) Lamson.
To honor Norma's incredible spirit and celebrate her life, a visitation will be held on May 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pinelands United Methodist Church, 4200 Nesco Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037, followed by a heartfelt funeral service at 2:00 PM. Friends, family, and all who knew her are invited to join in remembering a remarkable woman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to made to the Alzheimer's Association.
