Dr. Michael B. Honrychs, DMD, age 60 of Voorhees, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Samaritan Center in Voorhees, after a valiant 6 year battle with Amyolateral Sclerosis (ALS). Michael attended Paul the VI High School, Rutgers University - Camden, and Fairleigh Dickinson Dental School. Proud owner of Comprehensive Family Dentistry, “Doc H”, dedicated his life to quality care. He practiced dentistry for 29 years, providing treatment to members of the South Jersey community - including veterans, law enforcement, and special needs. Patients endearingly expressed his remarkable ability to ease the most difficult of procedures. He valued them, along with his staff and colleagues, as family. In addition to dentistry, he had a strong passion for basketball. Through the Gymrats Basketball Organization and Al Carino Basketball Club, “Coach Mike” inspired and mentored less privileged youth to pursue college education. Known to all as an ardent NY Jets fan, Mike’s unwavering support spanned decades. From the glory days of Broadway Joe to the infamous Butt Fumble and beyond, he never missed a game. Beloved by family and friends, Dr. Honrychs is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Honrychs (nee Cerruto), affectionate children, Matthew, Devon, and Dayna Honrychs, caring parents, Sigmund and Maria Honrychs, adoring sister and her husband, Denise and Richard Polichnowski, benevolent brother-in-law and his wife, Kenneth and Cindy Cerruto and cherished nephews, Kyle and Colin Cerruto. Michael’s viewing will be held on August 14th, Friday evening from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and again on August 15th, Saturday morning from 8:45am to 9:45am at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ.
