Matthew D. Matty Do Douglass, Jr.

Matthew D. Douglass, Jr., “Matty Do,” age 65, of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 25, 2017. Son of Pauline and the late Matthew Douglass, Sr. Beloved father of Matthew Douglass, III, Christina Douglass, Brian Douglass, Dana Douglass, and Stewart Richardson. Proud grandfather of 11. Loving brother of Patty Sykes, Jimmy Douglass, Kathy Leontitsis, Donna Douglass Richardson, and the late Tommy Douglass. Mr. Douglass was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a longtime resident of Roxborough. He worked as a stagehand for IATSE Local 8, Philadelphia. Matthew also served in the United States Army, and was a member of American Legion Post 100, Wyndmoor, PA. A memorial service for Mr. Douglass will be held on Sunday October 29, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Arthur V. Savage American Legion Post 100, 7999 Elm Ave, Wyndmoor, PA 19038 .
