Mary E. Gallagher

Mary Elizabeth Gallagher, beloved daughter of Thomas and Helen Gallagher of Berlin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 27th, 2025, at age 74. Before health issues took over her final seven years, she was energetic and "bubbly," known and loved by many for her generosity and good deeds. For more than 40 years, she was the owner/operator of Micki's Hair Designs on the White Horse Pike in Berlin. Mary always managed to provide hair styling for her customers who could no longer get to her shop in their homes or their residential facility on top of her salon schedule and other part-time jobs that she always had! Family members and even friends of family members had a hard time paying for a haircut or perm because Mary refused to accept payment - it is hard to imagine how much money Mary walked away from over her hairdressing career that started when she was just 18 years old!

Mary's energy kept her going at her business and rescuing stray cats, but then she also managed to get her school bus drivers license and drive for the Waterford School District and later for T & L Transportation. Mary loved the students that she transported daily as she continued to provide cuts, curls, and color to her loyal customers at the salon. "Miss Mary's" care and good humor were much appreciated by the families of her special kids.

Mary was always ready to help others and do special things for her family. Before she became ill, she made remembrance wreaths at Christmastime for all the family members who passed. Over the years, she loved hosting the family's Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings at the family home in Berlin. She will always be remembered for too many appetizers!

Mary will be deeply missed by her sisters Helene Keller, Jane Moxford, Evelyn Browne, and Michaelyn Guarini; her brothers-in-law John Keller, Sr. and Gregory Guarini; her nieces Jane Allyson Moxford, Leena Trinidad, Lizabeth Carl, Karyn Keller, and Caroline Browne; her nephews Brian Keller, Stephen Keller, Brian Browne, Danny Carl, and Thomas Henry Guarini, her godson, as well as many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will have a private service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery to say good-bye.
