It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Mario V. DeAntonellis Jr., who passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on April 26, 1941, in Camden, NJ, Mario was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, who dedicated his life to his family and his work.
Mario spent 45 years as a sheet metal worker at Garvey Corporation. He took great pride in his labor, much like he took pride in every detail of his life, from meticulously mowing the grass at 83 to creating beautiful grave blankets in his free time.
In addition to his hard work, Mario found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished weekends spent deer hunting in the great outdoors, and he enjoyed lively nights of country dancing at The Golden Nugget. Breakfast and dinner at Victory were frequent meals that brought family and friends together, where laughter and love filled the air. The couple's cherished trips to the Caribbean stand as a testament to their adventurous spirit and enduring love.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Martha DeAntonellis (nee Ranck), his sons, Mario V. DeAntonellis, III (Virginia) and Dan DeAntonellis (Judy), his cherished grandchildren, Alena DeAntonellis, Joseph Matela (Julianna), and Noelle DeAntonellis. Mario is predeceased by his parents, Mario V. DeAntonellis, Sr. and Alena DeAntonellis (nee Braddock) and his sister, Alba DeAntonellis.
