“Yaya” will be lovingly missed by her grandchildren Demitrus, Avery, and Sadie. “Auntie M” will be lovingly missed by her nieces and nephews: Stephen Hatala, Amy Bower, Matthew Kleiber, Alison Wurst, Diana Wurst, Melissa Chios, Pamela Thomson, Catherine McCarty, Brittany Davis, and Tara Davis, and 9 great nieces and nephews. “Lyn” will be lovingly missed by her all of her cousins who have always been so supportive. “MJ” will be missed by our dear family friend/5 th sister, Ruth Hanigan, and “M” will also be missed by her brother-in-law Joe Wurst.
Marilyn was the daughter of Ronald E. Davis and Colleen (Davidson) Davis and sister to Susan Hatala (John), Nancy Kleiber (Arnold) and Robert Davis (Theresa).
Marilyn achieved her BA degree in Philosophy and Economics from Rutgers University in 1983, which demonstrates her wide-ranging interests.
Marilyn had numerous passions, starting with her Baha’i faith since 1971, deep connections with friends and family, flowers, music, art, yarn, which she spun on her spinning wheel, and wove on her weaving looms, and books, books, books. She loved to brightened everyone’s day by bringing flower arrangements and food. Marilyn was extremely generous with her time and talents and there was no end to her gifting. She was always the first to offer a helping hand with compassion and heartfelt caring and thought nothing of driving hours on the spur of the moment to help someone in need.
Being so close in age and being raised in a home full of love and respect, the Davis “Clan” is a tight-knit bunch. The loss of “M” will leave a big hole in the Davis families’ hearts. A graveside service will be held today, August 18, 2022 at the Waterford Memorial Park, Waterford Works, NJ at 3:00pm
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Hamilton Township Baha’i Fund, PO Box 2529, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690, or The New Jersey School of Woodwork (NJSOW), Washington NJ 07882, Dan Mushrock Memorial Scholarship Fund.
