Marcus R. Hunger III

Marcus R. Hunger III, of Atco, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on March 19, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, to Marcus R. Hunger, II and Margaret (nee Gordon) Hunger. Marcus lived a life filled with hard work, friendships, and a genuine appreciation for the simple things that brought him happiness.

For many years, Marcus worked as a dedicated groundskeeper for Evesham Township. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature.

He truly enjoyed being outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, and in his earlier years, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, and playing horseshoes, softball, and baseball. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Marcus also enjoyed watching games and cheering on his favorite teams.

The time spent together, the stories shared, and the memories created over his 81 years will be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Marcus was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Donna (nee Forter) Hunger; and his siblings, Susan, Maryann and James.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly, Kelly Marcus IV, Karen and Kathy; his grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia, Christopher, John and Margaret; his stepchildren, Patricia Kerr and her husband Stephen and Ron Davis and his wife Lisa; step-grandchildren, Rachel, Nikki, Rebecca, Anthony, Erica and Daniel; many nieces and nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Marcus's life will begin at 12:00 p.m. at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcus' memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
