Linda A. Ayers

Linda A. Ayers, age 89, of Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on April 1, 1937, in Hartford, Connecticut. She earned her associate's degree from Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA, before relocating to Philadelphia, PA, where she began her career in medical transcription.

Linda married the love of her life, Roger W. Ayers, and they shared 41 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2000. Over the years, Linda also made her home in Camden and Sicklerville, NJ, before settling in Marlton, where she spent the last 26 years.

Linda will be deeply missed by her children: Leslie C. Rutkowski and her husband, Jay; Roger W. Ayers Jr. and his wife, Karen; and Terri A. Wheeler and her husband, Jim.

She was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Jay Rutkowski (Gabrielle), Nicholas Rutkowski (Chelsea), Brandy Nagy (Travis), Kerri Kerfoot (Brett), James Wheeler and Mathew Wheeler. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Travis Jr., Leah, Brooklyn, London and Rylee.

Linda was a longtime member of the Cramer Hill Boys Club, where she devoted countless hours supporting the cheerleading program, as well as the baseball, softball, and football programs. She found great joy in helping others and being involved in the lives of her children and the children and families in her community.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, reading and spending time at the Jersey shore. She cherished her family and the many memories they created together. Her patience, kindness, love and dedication to those around her will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Linda will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to attend Linda's visitation on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Burial will follow at Atco Cemetery.
