With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lauren Amy Foster (nee Bogdanowicz), at the age of 37, following a courageous three-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Lauren was the beloved daughter of Scott and Michele Bogdanowicz. Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her children-Skylar (15), Kolton (11), and Kayleb (4). She was a devoted and loving mother whose world revolved entirely around her children.
Lauren is survived by her loving sisters, Leigha Bogdanowicz (Daniel Platt IV) and Laycie Bogdanowicz; her brother, Lukas Bogdanowicz (Emma Yourkonis); and her cherished niece, Paislie Platt. She is also survived by her grandmother, Nancy Schwenz; her grandfather, Edward Bogdanowicz; and her aunt and uncle, Debra and Bryan Bogdanowicz. Lauren shared an especially close bond with her family, built on laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love.
Lauren faced her illness with extraordinary strength, grace, and determination. In her final moments, she was comforted by the presence of her best friend, Ashley Rogers, whose unwavering love and support meant the world to her.
Lauren lived in Pemberton Borough and attended Northern Burlington Regional High School, where she was active in the FFA and participated in the Deborah Heart Challenge during both years she attended the school. She later moved to Shamong and graduated from Seneca High School in 2006. While at Seneca, Lauren was a member of the bowling team and again participated in the Deborah Heart Challenge during both years of her attendance.
Lauren was deeply committed to animal welfare and volunteered, fostered, and supported Joe Joe's Place Animal Rescue in Medford. She ensured that every animal in her care was surrounded with love, compassion, and comfort until they found their forever home. Her kindness and dedication made a lasting difference in the lives of countless animals and the families who adopted them.
Lauren was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia Phillies. Whether celebrating victories or standing by them through difficult losses, her loyalty never wavered.
Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Dear Jack Foundation and Flyers Charities for making Lauren's dream of a Flyers Experience-and meeting the staff and players-a reality. They also thank A Day to Remember for sending Lauren and her children to Hershey Park, creating cherished memories that will last her children a lifetime.
The family would also like to thank those who supported Lauren throughout her fight against breast cancer, including her exceptional oncology team at Penn Oncology Voorhees, whose compassion and care meant so much to her.
Special thanks are also extended to her South Jersey Bucks baseball family-players, coaches, and fans alike-whose support for Lauren and her children was truly incredible, as well as to Coach Steve Henske and Lisa Henske of the Medford Pride soccer team for sending Lauren and her children to Walt Disney World to make unforgettable memories together.
Lauren's love, strength, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions to assist with the children's education would be deeply appreciated, please click here to donate.
