Kristen Diane Szwed

Kristen Szwed, 41, passed away on April 20, 2026. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and sister.

Kristen was a woman defined by strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was the beloved wife of Eddie and a proud, deeply devoted mother to her two sons, Austin (12) and Evan (16), who were the center of her world. She would do anything for her family, always putting their needs before her own.

She is survived by her father, Lou Hanyecz; her twin brother, Bryon Kraska; and her younger brother, Lj Hanyecz; along with many extended family members and loved ones. She was predeceased by her mother, Kathleen Hanyecz, whom she loved very deeply.

Kristen had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cats and dogs, who were part of her family and brought her comfort and joy. She was known for her fiery spirit, her strong personality, and the kind of energy that could light up a room. Someone who was a little wild at heart, but deeply, fiercely loving to those closest to her.

Her voice and laugh were impossible to ignore, and impossible to forget. She loved sunsets, often finding peace in their quiet beauty.

She never missed a chance to say "I love you," and believed strongly in standing up for yourself and always putting family first. Values she lived by every day and passed on to those she loved.

She will be remembered for her strength, her selflessness, and the deep love she gave so freely. Though her time here feels far too short, Kristen's love will live on through her children, her family, and all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004.
