Joseph Neild

Joseph E. Neild, Jr., age 67, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Elaine, children, Neil (Heather) and Gail (Daniel), sister, Donna, grandchildren, Jessica, Carley, Cheyenne, Hunter, and Joseph, father in-law, George and sister in-law, Cheryl (Harvey) as well as many nieces and nephews. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Fern.

A passionate fisherman, Joseph spent countless hours honing his craft, mastering the art of fly fishing's delicate presentation, the thrill of surf fishing's pounding waves or even catching largemouth bass in all the local lakes. He was a carpenter, working for Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, building several of the casinos in Atlantic City. Joe loved music and could name any of the hits of his time without any hesitation. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and to the American Cancer Society in Joseph's memory.
