It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John W. Gibson, Jr., who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 30, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 13, 1948, in Camden, NJ, John lived a full and meaningful life, recently calling Atco, NJ, home for the last 12 years, after previously residing in Marlton. John was a dedicated and talented architect, sharing his passion for design and creativity through his business, The Gibson Tarquini Group, for over 20 years.
John was not only known for his professional achievements, but also celebrated for his deep love for his family, neighbors and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Lauren (née Moles) Gibson; children, Lisa Gibson and John Gibson, III; sister, Marie Delaney; and many nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents, John W. Sr., and Marie (née Fiume) Gibson, and his brother, Paul Gibson.
John shared a particular joy in sitting outside amidst nature, where he found peace and tranquility. His love for fishing, cooking, gardening, model trains and his many family dogs brought joy to his life. He cherished his summers spent in Margate, where he created lasting memories with his family.
John was proud to have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in his younger years, a testament to his commitment to service and community.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am, a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am at Christ The Redeemer Parish/Assumption Church, 315 Carl Hasselhan Dr, Atco, NJ 08004. Followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
