Our Lady, Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Eastern time)
Jason Francis Wilmot died peacefully in his sleep from natural causes on April 6, 2026. He was 48 years old. Jason was the son of Frances Wilmot and the late William Bennett and stepson to Michael Kennedy.
Jason was raised by his Mom in Pitman, NJ. He graduated from Pitman High School where he made many close and lifelong friends.
He proudly served his country in the USN from 2007 through 2012 and was deployed on the now retired USS Peleliu.
Jason had many interests in life. He loved music and was employed for a time by Live Nation, a job he greatly enjoyed. He also enjoyed MMA and stand up comedy. He loved good food and spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from Orleans Technical College in 2018 and worked for several years as a HVAC technician and was most recently employed by Home Depot in Swedesboro, N.J. as an ICQA specialist.
Jason was a genuine and kind-hearted person. He was generous to a fault. Jason never met a stranger, and he touched the lives of so many during his short time on earth. He was fiercely intelligent and possessed a quick wit.
Jason is sadly missed by his Mom Fran Wilmot and Mike Kennedy; his Uncle, Eddie Bennett (Judy); Aunt, Ann Townsend (Kit); Aunt, Doreen Bennett (Ralph); Justin Bennett (Amie) and his cousins Michael Wilmot Jr. and Gabbi Townsend along with many other friends and relatives.
He was predeceased by his Uncle, Michael Wilmot Sr.; his Aunt, Pat Cassady (Bill) along with his maternal and paternal grandparents and his great- grandmother, Gertrude Conner.
Jason had a private viewing and was interred with military honors at the Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery in Williamstown, N.J.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 161 Pitman Ave., Pitman, NJ 08071.
