It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice Louise Winner (née Belcher), of Tansboro, who passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 87. Janice was born on May 10, 1938, in McComas, West Virginia to Leonard Thomas and Elsie (née Bailey) Belcher and spent nearly seventy years calling Tansboro, New Jersey, home.
Janice worked at Mrs. Paul's Foods in Cedarbrook, Laurel Springs Public Schools, and Harvest Village in Atco. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in gardening, cooking, and decorating her home for the holidays. A proud collector of snowmen, she had an affinity for wearing jewelry that always sparked a conversation. She loved watching Home Shopping networks The Hallmark Channel, Westerns, and game shows.
She is survived by her son, John R. Winner, Jr. and his wife Donna; her grandchildren, Katie Winner and her husband Barry Metcalf, Allison Winner and her husband Christopher Hampson, Alex Palmer and his wife Diane and Miranda Coskery and her husband Tyler; her great grandchildren, Maxine Metcalf, Cassidy Metcalf and Dawson Palmer.
Janice was predeceased by her parents; husband, John R. Winner; daughter, Dawn Winner; brothers, Ray, Donald, Jimmy, Eugene and Wayne Belcher; and sisters, Elisibeth Downs, Margaret McGee, Lillian Wolfe and Mamie Ballentine.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. Followed by a graveside service at New Freedom Cemetery, Berlin.
