Hipolito Oquendo

Hipolito Oquendo, beloved family member, friend, and cherished presence in the lives of many, passed away on February 16th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and lasting memories.

Born on July 27, 1935, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Hipolito lived a life marked by dedication to those he loved and a commitment to making a positive difference wherever he went. Known for his warm spirit, generous heart, unforgettable humor, and spirited feistiness, he brought laughter, strength, and comfort to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Throughout his life, Hipolito worked at Pine Island Cranberry Farm, where he took pride in his hard work and the life he built for his family. Above all, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren, whose lives were brightened by his stories, laughter, and loving presence. He will always be remembered for his humor, his feisty personality, and the warmth he shared so freely with others.

He is survived by his three children, along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will continue to honor his memory.

A service to celebrate Hipolito's life will be held at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 441 White Horse Pike, Alco, NJ 08004, The visitation will be held 6:00pm to 8:00pm followed by a Funeral Service at 8:00pm.

Hipolito Oquendo will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared with the world.
