It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Param Pujya Mrs. Hasumati B. Saraiya on Friday , December 12, 2025. She also leaves behind her beloved extended Saraiya Family, Shah Family, Desai Family and Talati Family.
Param Pujya Mrs. Hasumati Saraiya was born in Kanpur, India, in 1938 to Jayantilal Shah and Savitaben Talati. After completing her education, she relocated to Nadiad and married Late Bhikhubhai Saraiya on February 18, 1958. At a young age, she became the cornerstone of her family, playing a pivotal role in the upbringing of her younger brothers-in-law in 1960. Throughout this period, she provided steadfast support while her husband pursued further education and worked diligently to secure the family's financial stability. Despite facing challenging circumstances, beloved Hasumati Saraiya consistently demonstrated remarkable love, silent strength, and resilience.
In early 1960s, she moved with her late husband to Baroda, India, where she once again played a pivotal role this time in raising her own three children. She taught her children the value of hard work, the value of discipline and value of education. She was deeply committed to her family and community, always extending compassion and guidance to those around her.
In 1979, she emigrated to the United States with her children. Upon arriving, she adapted quickly to her new Home and consistently worked up to seven days a week to support her family for many years. Although she initially accepted entry-level position, she advanced rapidly to a supervisory role at WG Chemicals in New Jersey. In this capacity, she managed a team of 100 employees, exhibiting the same dedication and care that she extended to her own family members. She retired from work in 2007, having had dedicated 28 years of service to the same organization.
After retirement, she continued to help family/friends/strangers alike. She was loved by all and will sure be missed. Her unwavering dedication and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her funeral will be performed according to traditional Hindu rites and officiated by Hindu priest. Viewing and Puja will be held privately.
May the departed soul rest in Eternal Peace. Her silent strength will be missed by all, however her memories of her life will be everlasting.
We pray to Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Shri Swaminarayan to give her eternal bliss.
