Harold Vernon Ehrke, of Berlin, NJ, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 31, 2026, at the age of 77.

He proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force and later in life worked as a machinist for Garvey Corporation.

Harold's knack for storytelling, particularly when it came to tales of the railroad, never failed to captivate those lucky enough to listen. He found joy in building and flying model airplanes and loved to spend his days on the golf course, where he forged lasting memories with friends.

Above all, Harold deeply cherished his family. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Crockett (Kevin); his son, Brian Ehrke (Janae), along with his beloved grandchildren, Dane Lacerte, Tyler Crockett, Deanna Ehrke, and Benjamin Ehrke. Harold is predeceased by his wife, Jean Ehrke (nee Pizzuto), as well as his parents, Clyde and Ester Ehrke (nee Ellsworth).

In these moments of remembrance, may we all find comfort in the stories he shared, the laughter he brought, and the love he gave so freely.

Honoring Harold's wishes, cremation will be held privately at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory in Atco, NJ. Donations in his memory can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, or to the International Myeloma Foundation. Condolences may be shared on his online guestbook.
