George H. Young

George H. Young, age 98, of Pitman, NJ, passed away on July 28, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Jane. Loving father of George H. Young, Jr., Teresa Ryan and Mary Shelton. Grandfather of 8 and Great Grandfather of 12. Mr. Young was a veteran of WWII serving in Navy. He served on a troop transport ship in the American Area, European African, and Asiatic Pacific Theaters. George worked as an Inspection Officer at the Atco DMV Inspection Station. He also lived in the Villages in Lady Lakes, FL for 28 years and was active in the American Legion Post 347 and VFW Post 8083 Belleview, FL. George loved bowling, taking pictures, the Phillies and Eagles. A visitation will be held on Monday August 3, 2020 from 11:00 - 12:00 pm at the Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ. A memorial service and Military Honors will begin at 12:00 noon. Cremation will be held privately.
