Francis T. McGough, Jr., age 78, of Hammonton, NJ, passed away on January 28, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Francis T. McGough, Sr. and Margaret McGough (née Porter).
Francis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he began his career as a teacher but soon discovered his true calling in community service. He went on to serve as the Director of Quixote Quest for the Center for Family Services in Camden, NJ, where he made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Dedicated to helping others, Francis generously volunteered his time teaching and coaching youth sports, always finding meaningful ways to give back to his community. His compassion, leadership, and commitment to service will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Francis was predeceased by his parents, Francis T. McGough, Sr. and Margaret McGough.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Margaret McGough (née Harte); his son, Francis T. McGough III and his fiancée, Amy Kobren; his siblings, Eileen Senior (Don), Maureen Dean (Bill), Coleen McGough, Chris McGough (Christine), and Mike McGough (Terri); as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be held privately.
