Frances Wingate (nee Kelly), of Berlin, NJ, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on October 18, 1945, Frances cherished a life filled with love, family, and friendship.
Throughout her life, Frances cultivated a warm and nurturing home. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated countless hours to keeping track of their ancestry, ensuring that the stories of their lives would be cherished for generations.
She was a woman of many talents, well-known for her delicious culinary skills and meticulous weekly meal planning. She loved entertaining her friends and family with meals prepared with love. She took great pleasure in her weekly lunches at Nugget and Victory Bar & Grill, where warm laughter and deep conversations flourished among friends.
In her spare time, she enjoyed attending her book club, playing Mahjong, crocheting and sewing. Frances also loved the delightful tea parties with friends.
For 19 years, she proudly worked at Kohl's, a testament to her strong work ethic and dedication. She was also a skilled bookkeeper, a role that showcased her love for numbers and organization.
Frances leaves behind her beloved children, Kevin Wingate (Barbara), Patricia Hahn (Joseph), Sean Wingate (Barbara), Christopher Wingate (former spouse, Lisa), and Timothy Wingate, siblings, Joann Morrell, Deborah Gundle, Maureen Gilfillan, and Eileen Berglund (George), grandchildren, Andrew, Christine, Sarah, Kimberly, Olivia, Walter, and Paul as well as her great-grandchildren, Luke and Ellie. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Wingate, father, Charles A. Kelly, mother, Helen A. Powers (nee Finkbeiner), stepfather, Frank Powers, sister, Noreen Boehme, brother in-law, Bill Boehme, and her grandchild, Baby Joseph.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, September 12th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, 08004 with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, NJ.
