Dorothy Anne Patterson

Dorothy Anne Patterson, age 82, passed away at her home in Atco, NJ, where she lived since 1983. Dorothy, or "Dot" as she was called, grew up on 47th Street in Pennsauken, NJ. She went to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church (now Mary Queen of All Saints Parish) and K-8 school near her home. She graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1961 and Rider College in 1965 with a degree in education. She taught office technology at Edgewood Regional High School for her career of over 35 years. She married the love of her life, Eugene D. Patterson, in 1972, and they excitedly welcomed their daughter Anne Elizabeth a few years later. Her parents, Ed and Etta Durburow, gave her a love of being outdoors and of gardening, which she passed on to her family.

She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Eugene D. Patterson, her parents Edward A. and Mary Etta Durborow (nee Tindall), and her brothers John E. Durborow and Roger L. Tindall. She was the mother of Anne Elizabeth (Samuel) Hong, sister-in-law to Nola Durborow and Amy Tindall, and had many nieces and nephews, whom she often thought of.

Family and friends are invited to attend the closed casket visitation on Friday, July 31st, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, 08004 with a Catholic Vigil Service to follow at 7:15 pm. Mass of Christian burial to take place the next day, Saturday, August 1st, 2026, at 10:30 am at Christ the Redeemer Parish, Assumption Church, 315 Carl Hasselhan Dr, Atco, NJ 08004. Interment to take place after Mass at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Lambertville, NJ.
