Donna L. Brooks, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025. Born on October 26, 1949, she will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
Donna was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding immense joy in spending time with her family. She cherished celebrating milestones, big and small, with the people she loved. She is survived by her two sons: Brian Mariano and his wife, Amy, along with their children, Matthew, Michael, and CJ; and Chris Mariano and his wife, Lisa, along with their children, Tom, Gabby, Miles, and John.
She is also survived by her brother, Bill Peck; her sister, Debbie; and her niece, Kelly Holland. Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Hill; her father, Donald Brooks; and her stepfather, William "Pecky" Peck, Sr.
Donna spent her entire professional career as a dedicated legal assistant. She often worked long hours to support her boys, a testament to her unwavering love and commitment. Donna truly loved those she worked for and with, and many of her work colleagues became lifelong friends.
Donna lived a full and vibrant life, embracing every opportunity for adventure and connection. She had a deep love for the beach and proudly wore the term "Shoobie" as a badge of honor, spending countless hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the ocean breeze from Brigantine to Cape May, NJ. While she enjoyed traveling to destinations like Paris and Italy, her true happy place was Marco Island, Florida, where she took many cherished trips.
Donna was a proud liberal and animal lover. Her empathy for those without a voice - both human and furry - was always at the forefront. She was passionate about her political beliefs and never hesitated to advocate for causes she believed in. Her passion for this was contagious.
Donna's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ.
