Donald J. Savon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald J. Savon, of Cherry Hill, NJ, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Donald, age 90, who left us on August 19, 2026. He was born on October 30, 1935, in Bethlehem, PA to the late John and Marion Savon (nee Maurer).

Donald was a respected Vice President at Galaxy Carpet Mills, where he was known throughout the industry for his dedication and expertise. After retiring, he spent 25 years in Mexico with his wife Nancy, who predeceased him. He was a wonderful father, an avid tennis player and a devoted fan of all things Penn State (his beloved alma mater). He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving children, Joseph Savon (Susie) Thomas Savon (Jennifer), John Savon (Lynn), Mary Farleigh (Mike), Anne Long (TJ), and grandchildren, Alex, Lara, Katrina, Allison, Connor, Drew, Aidan, Douglas, Andrew, and Grace.

Donald will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
