Donald George Robertson, Jr.

Donald George Robertson, Jr., age 87 of Southampton, New Jersey, left his family and friends on January 29, 2026, while in hospice care in Mount Holly. He was born in Camden on February 14, 1938, to Donald George Robertson, Sr., and Pearl Dolores Robertson (Sharp). A polio survivor, he grew up in Collingswood and graduated from Collingswood High School in 1957.

Don was the second-generation owner of Robertson Typewriter Service, a Haddon Avenue landmark in Collingswood for over 40 years. In retirement, Don became a commercial driver, safely transporting countless students, athletes, and private groups across the tri-state area. He met his wife, the late Arline Joan Peake, as a teenager at Dancette in Oaklyn. They raised their family in Gibbsboro before moving to Tabernacle to fulfill their shared dream of owning a horse ranch. Don's lifelong love of horses brought him joy, particularly during rides through Wharton Forest.

Don is survived by daughter Wendy Rafferty (Charles) of Sandy Hook, CT; son Michael Robertson of West Deptford, NJ; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Perez Robertson of West Deptford, NJ; grandchildren Angel Dawson, Callan Rafferty, Stefan Andujar, Jakob Robertson, and Chatham Rafferty; sister Joan Longfellow; cousin Diane Sharp Watson; and nephews and nieces William Seitz; Linda Giadrosich; Nora Beckman; and Scott Longfellow.

He was predeceased by his wife Arline; sister Dolores Pearl Seitz; nephew Robert Seitz; and brother-in-law William Longfellow.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, New Jersey 08004, with a service to follow at 12:00 pm.
