Daniel D. Cantrell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Duane Cantrell, of Winslow Twp., formerly of Waterford Works, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who left us on January 25, 2026, just days shy of his 73rd birthday. Dan was born in Independence, MO to Paul D. and Irene B. (nee Boswell) Cantrell.

Dan was a dedicated software engineer for 42 years, working for various companies such as PECO Energy, Johnson and Johnson and Florida State College - Jacksonville. Dan was also a man of many passions. He loved hitting the water to go boating, enjoyed fishing, and was known for his skilled golfing abilities. When he wasn't out enjoying nature or working on his computers, you would likely find him shooting pool with friends or tackling a project around the house.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. He was awarded "Outstanding Trainee of the Cycle" in June, 1972.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Carol A. (nee Marra) Cantrell; his three children, Dana Parisi, Jason Cantrell, and Amy Graeber; and three grandchildren, Ariana Parisi, Liam Graeber, and Jayna Cantrell.
