Cynthia R. Watkins (née Roberts), age 95, of Blackwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025. Born in West Hazelton, PA, Cynthia was the beloved daughter of the late James and Dortha Roberts (née Troll). She was a woman of great strength, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cynthia had a creative spirit and found joy in painting, knitting, and tending to her cherished rose garden. She took great pride in her home, decorating it with care, and was an avid collector of Waterford and Lenox pieces. Cynthia and her husband loved taking car rides, and passed that love on to their son. In her later years, Cynthia and her family frequently enjoyed car rides together.
She was a devoted wife who lovingly cared for her husband through many years of illness, as well as being the caregiver of her mother, demonstrating unwavering selflessness and compassion.
Fiercely independent and determined, Cynthia lived life on her own terms. But more than anything, she adored her grandchildren, showering them with endless love and attention.
Cynthia is predeceased by her husband, Carl E. Watkins and siblings, Jimmy Roberts, Betty Zulich, and Edie Parry.
She is survived by her son, Craig R. Watkins (Dianna Adams) and grandchildren, Taylor Watkins and Jonathan Watkins.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, located at 442 S. Route 73, Berlin, NJ 08009.
