It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Edward Boos, of Cedar Brook, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who left us on January 2, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on August 24, 1947, in Camden, NJ, to Charles and Bernice (née Hickman) Boos.
Charles proudly served in the U.S. Navy, during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of MM3 before being discharged on October 10, 1970. After his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a machinist at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, where he dedicated over 20 years of hard work and commitment. A true car enthusiast, Charles loved to attend car shows and spend hours tinkering with cars in his garage. He had a knack for making those around him laugh and would often playfully annoy his loving wife of 47 years, Colleen (née Brong) Boos.
Charles is also survived by his three children; son, Kyle and his wife Danielle; son, Garrett and his wife Shannon, and daughter Jodie Boos; grandchildren; Braelyn, Quinn, and Dylan and his siblings, Robert Boos and Sandy Franchi.
Family and friends are invited to Charles' viewing on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, 1530 Wilson Blvd, Suite 550, Arlington, VA 22209 or you can donate by clicking here.
