Affectionately known as Al, he served in the United States Army Reserves for four years. He spent his professional career as the Vice President of Sales for American Transfer. Beyond his professional achievements, he cherished his family above all else.
Al is survived by his bride of 73 years, Virginia "Ginny" Abbamondi, and his six children, Al Abbamondi, Ken Abbamondi and his wife Kaye, Kathy Berks and her husband Bill, Patricia McCann, Gina Abbamondi and Gary Abbamondi and his Companion Barbara Ann; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Albert Abbamondi, Sr., and Rose (nee Capone) Abbamondi; his son, Michael Abbamondi; his grandson, Ian Michael McCann and son-in-law, Paul McCann
In his younger years, Al found joy in playing the piano, pouring his heart into music that brought comfort and happiness to those around him. He was a member of a camping club of friends that bonded for years on their adventures. His commitment to service extended beyond his family and profession, as he volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader, inspiring and guiding young minds with his wisdom and kindness.
