Carolyn Marrero

Carolyn R. Marrero, age 82, passed away peacefully while on hospice care in Salem, NJ on July 17, 2025, two days before her 83rd birthday. She was born in Evansville, IN to Helen L. (Sitzman) and Edward H. Robinson.

She was the eldest of 8 siblings and is survived by her sisters, Judy Robinson (Darlene Bailey), Vineland, NJ and Susan (Mark) Hayden, Mays Landing, NJ. Beloved mother of Sandy Schmidt, Augusta, ME; Joann Pettit, Pennsville, NJ; Jennifer Maier-Michaelsen, San Jose, CA; Lisa Robinson Marrero (Gregory Bryan), Absecon, NJ; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was known for being nurturing, generous, strong, funny, loyal and feisty. She always said what was on her mind. She loved cooking, crocheting, crabbing at the Jersey shore, thriller movies, country western music, bingo, thrift stores, pizza, eating out at diners and her favorite Chinese restaurants. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Carolyn will be laid to rest with her mother, Helen L. Robinson at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. Private funeral services will be held with family and friends.
