Billy Norman Nees Sr.

Billy N. Nees, Sr., age 71, of Bass River Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Born in Audubon, NJ, Billy was the son of the late Richard N. and Sara N. (nee Smith) Nees. He worked as a truck driver for the Voorhees Township Public Works Department.

Billy had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed spending time fishing. He was a dedicated volunteer firefighter and lifetime member of the Kirkwood Fire Company. His commitment to serving his community extended beyond the fire service, as he also served as a Boy Scout leader and was a member of his local American Legion.

Billy is survived by his children, Billy N. Nees, Jr. and his wife, Jessica, Kimberly Fox and her husband, William, and Joseph Nees and his wife, Kayla; his sister, Linda Paleczny; his grandchildren, Hannah, Billy III, Alexander, Elizabeth, Lillianna, Sadie and Joseph Jr.; his great-grandchildren, McKenna and Noah and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by his first wife of 34 years, Ann Marie Nees, and his brother, Richard Nees.

Billy will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for the outdoors and his many years of dedicated service to his community.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Billy's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
