Bernadette J. Ignas

Bernadette J. Ignas, age 76, of Medford, NJ, passed away on November 26, 2025. She was born in Camden, NJ, to the late Lawrence B. and Jennie (nee Chmielewski) Vitagliano.

Bernadette previously worked in the deli department at Acme in Medford and in sales at the Berlin Mart. She enjoyed thrifting, visiting the casino, and listening to music. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she loved going out to eat with family and friends.

She is predeceased by her companion, Nick LaPenta.

Bernadette is survived by her son, Max Henkel IV; her grandchildren, Max Callan (Danielle), Jocelyn Henkel, Kaydence Henkel, and Audrey Henkel; and her siblings, Larry Vitagliano (Cindy), Joe Vitagliano (Nancy), Michael Vitagliano (Joann), Frankie Vitagliano (Lisa), Lisa Vitagliano (Max), Eddie Vitagliano, Angela Van Sciver (Harry), and Lori Allen (Dave). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory and will be held privately.
