Ashok Hasija

Ashok Kumar Hasija, 84, passed away on June 30, 2025.

Ashok was born in Sagar. He grew up in Jabalpur and was selected by the Atomic Energy Commission of India after his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Jabalpur University. He then moved to the United States and graduated with a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife Shikha, children Amit and Anuj, daughters-in-law Niti and Anna, and grandchildren Sanaya and Leela.

Ashok was a life-long learner, well-traveled and intensely curious about the world. He enjoyed deep discussions with family and friends. His genuine kindness and willingness to listen drew people to him.

The viewing & puja will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Leroy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ, beginning at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
