With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Arnab Pal, a devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather, and respected member of the BCS community, on June 20, 2025, at the age of 85. A long-time resident of Voorhees, New Jersey, Arnab lived a life marked by simplicity, intellect, discipline, and a quiet devotion to his loved ones.
Arnab's deep commitment to his career was mirrored by his lifelong passions-an avid sports enthusiast, especially in tennis, and a lover of Indian music. He found joy in the spirit of a good match and the beauty of melody, carrying both into his daily life with grace and focus. A man of integrity and determination, Arnab was admired for his unwavering work ethic and thoughtful presence.
Born in Kolkata, India, to Barindra Nath and Anima Pal, Arnab was raised in Delhi alongside his sister Bharati Rudra (also deceased). He pursued his education at Shibpur Engineering College after completing his early schooling in Delhi. His career began at DCPL Kolkata and later continued at DCPL Madras. In 1978, he moved to the United States with his family as part of a small team tasked with revitalizing the Kuljian Corporation. The close bonds formed with colleagues and their families during those early years were a cherished part of his life, often remembered fondly at community gatherings. In later part of his career, he was engaged with leading electrical engineering projects with multiple engineering firms in the U.S.
Arnab is survived by his beloved wife, Chandra Pal; his son, Subrata Pal (Piku); daughter-in-law, Koeli Pal; and granddaughters, Prithika Pal and Anvita Pal, who will carry forward his memory with love, pride, and honor.
A viewing and puja, followed by cremation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd at 1:00 PM at LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004.
Arnab's spirit endures in the legacy he leaves behind-in the lessons he taught, the strength he inspired, and the love he gave so freely. As we grieve his loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived and a soul now at peace.
