Angelina "Angie" DiBartolomeo, age 88, of Hammonton, NJ passed away on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. She leaves behind her siblings, Ernest (Irene) DiBartolomeo, Mary (Charles) Fee, Fay Lawrenson, and sister-in-law, Carol DiBartolomeo, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Angelina is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Antoinette DiBartolomeo as well as her brother, Anthony DiBartolomeo.
Angie was one of a kind. She was fiercely independent and very strong-willed. She loved her solitude and was an avid reader, with her massive collection of books, she always had something to read; even re-reading her favorite ones often. Exceptionally intelligent, Angie found joy in testing her knowledge by watching Jeopardy or solving crossword puzzles. In the kitchen, Angie was a force, whipping up delicious meals and decadent desserts that brought joy to all who tasted them. Her famous chocolate birthday cakes were legendary, and her family will deeply miss her Christmas Eve contributions. If she wasn't cooking, reading or solving her puzzles, she was cheering on her nieces and nephews at their sporting events, her favorite Philly sports teams, or booing the Dallas Cowboys. Angie proudly served in the United States Navy as a photographer and after hanging out of military planes taking pictures for years, she would never fly again.
Cremation and services will be held privately. Condolences may be shared on her online guestbook. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angelina's memory can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to Doctors Without Borders.
